19) WHAT IS CARBONZERO?
The Princess Margaret Home Lottery is committed to protecting our environment. We will be carbon offsetting all vehicle and vacation prizes in an effort to mitigate the effects of air pollution and global warming.
By purchasing offsets from our offsetting partner, Carbonzero, we will help fund clean energy projects that will 'offset' greenhouse emissions from another source. Caronzero has recently been ranked as the top provider of Canadian carbon offsets by the David Suzuki Foundation. All offsets will be “additional”, which means that the project that created them would not have proceeded without the funding. Now you win and so does the environment.
